Women’s welfare Association, Ishapore Branch is situated in the bank of river Ganga, at The park Estate of Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore, under the post office Ichapur Nawabganj, in the North Twenty Four Parganas District of West Bengal State. This is a Unit of a Welfare organisation under Yantra India Limited Women’s welfare Association , Ambajhari Estate, Nagpur, Maharastra. This welfare organization is running with the wives of working employees of Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore (A Unit of Yantra India Limited, Nagpur). Wife of the General Manager of Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore, chaired the President ship of this unit.
Overview
WWA Ishapore Branch generally works with various welfare activities for the people of underprivileged section of Estate areas of Metal & Steel Factory, Ishapore. The activities like a free school named “Gyanjyoti” a shool of underprivileged children, Sewing School for the women of underprivileged section of the estates, Free Health Check-up camps, Free Eye-checkup camps etc. are conducting by this branch. Besides this, WWA Ishapore branch also runs two schools named Ankur Vidya Mandir in OWL and Northland Estates of MSF, Ishapore. Total 250 students are studying in those schools with the guidance of Two Principals and 8 Teachers .All the teaching staffs are trained with Montessori Teacher training course. Eight Supporting staff are caring the students like a home. Both the schools are maintained with modern class room, Montessori studying aids and techniques etc.
